The participants of the education enjoy the joyful part of this period the most – dances, games, egg painting, “expelling of the herring”, and fortune-telling. And if they’re lucky, they’ll also find gifts hidden by the Easter Lady…

This is a great opportunity to create a souvenir handmade key chain decorated with national motives. The educational activity is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Lithuanian flag! Let’s celebrate the Freedom together!

You will be greeted by the hostess and invited to her smoky house, where the secret teacher will be waiting. You will become the students of the secret school of the 19th century: you will read prohibitted Lithuanian books, write with goose quills on tablets, and bound notebooks. You will have to be very careful – at any moment an angry gendarme can burst in and chase everyone away. Perhaps you will be able to trick the gendarme and save the Lithuanian books and your notebooks. Or maybe the gendarme won’t come today?

We use soap every day, but we don’t think about how it came about, how our grandparents or great-grandparents washed, and what is its composition. Lecturers “laundry ladies” will tell the story of the origin of soap, present the methods of soap production, introduce washing tools and their use. You will hear about the tools and you will wash in wooden troughs with metal and wooden grates yourself. After getting acquainted with the washing tools, we will invite you to a creative workshop, where you will make soap of custom aroma, shape, and color!

For the period of Advent. After welcoming the education participants, the host will show farm implements in the light of kerosene lamps and tell about autumn chores. After that, the hostess will invite everyone to eat, and teach them about small jobs: feather plucking, thread spinning, wool picking. While setting the Christmas table, she will tell about the Christmas dinner and customs and teach fortune telling. Finally, the Saint Christmas will come and bring his teddy bear. Later, everyone will play and sing together until the Saint Christmas opens his bag and merrily gives gifts with together with his teddy…

Acquaintance with tools and products of woodworkers, shoemakers, blacksmiths, weavers, potters, and various tasks.

Have you ever had to create a souvenir, a piece of jewelry or any other cozy little thing with your own hands? Come to our “tiny art lab” and learn the entire history of gypsum! We promise, we will let you touch the gypsum that creates our landscape, and even color the souvenir that you made in your favorite colors!

Education participants become creators of small miracles. Using various printing tools and techniques, they decorate the gingerbread, then taste it or take it home nicely wrapped as a souvenir!

We will invite you to travel through the mysterious world of herbs – we will introduce you to the most useful medical herbs, how to collect them, store them, use them, and make herbal tea. You will create a linen bag decorated with folk ornaments, suitable to store herbs.

You will feel like real detectives and follow the trail of the criminal, in order to find out who dared to steal the original copy of  the Act of Independence of Lithuania of 16 February, discovered and donated to the museum of the Pasvalys region by professor Liudas Mažylis himself. The detective investigation will lead to 12 objects of interest in the city of Pasvalys, which the detectives will not only thoroughly inspect in search of clues, but also get to know their history, characteristics, and uniqueness. You will follow the clues left by the criminal – the evidence bags,…

You will become a treasure hunter, and when you find it, you will miraculously go to the old Pasvalis cinema and enjoy the old animation… Surprises await everyone who wants to celebrate their birthday in our museum! Interested? We invite children and adults, families, employee teams, and members of various organizations to participate.
