You will visit the former synagogue, where the bima, arched windows, doors, women’s prayer place, and outer walls have been preserved. While travelling through the streets of the city of Pasvalys, we will tell you about the buildings that belonged to the Jews, Palėvenė Street, where the ghetto, that held almost 1,500 Jews, was established. You will be able to imagine what a difficult time it was and consider a person’s place and options in the face of a threat – rescue or betray. We will stop at the building where the Jewish elementary school used to operate. The tour ends at the Jewish cemetery.
