You will feel like real detectives and follow the trail of the criminal, in order to find out who dared to steal the original copy of  the Act of Independence of Lithuania of 16 February, discovered and donated to the museum of the Pasvalys region by professor Liudas Mažylis himself. The detective investigation will lead to 12 objects of interest in the city of Pasvalys, which the detectives will not only thoroughly inspect in search of clues, but also get to know their history, characteristics, and uniqueness. You will become a treasure hunter, and when you find it, you will miraculously go to the old Pasvalis cinema and enjoy the old animation… Surprises await everyone who wants to celebrate their birthday in our museum! Interested? We invite children and adults, families, employee teams, and members of various organizations to participate.

After getting acquainted with the history of the development of leather shoes, visitors will make their own ancient leather folk shoes.

Acquaintance with the karst landscape in Pithole Park. What rocks are the most “guilty” of the ground sinking in Pasvalys. The main factors that promote the formation of sinkholes.

During this program, the exposition hall becomes a “puppet theater”. The museum employee tells a fairy tale to the visitors in the local dialect of the Aukštaitija and offers to act it out by themselves. Visitors become actors, directors… The program is intended for visitors of different ages. Dolls are made based on age groups: for the little ones – hand dolls, for the older and oldest – stick dolls.

After a sightseeing tour of the ethnography exposition, students find paths leading to a hidden treasure.

You will watch a video about the history of the centuries-old National Costume. You will learn how to tie the veil of Aukštaitija. You will get to know the colors and patterns of the national costumes of all regions of Lithuania. You will taste delicious “heart” pancakes prepared according to an ancient recipe.

Ecological reuse of fabrics – we will learn about various quilting techniques and make a pieceof quilting – a piece of home decor.

During the education, you will learn how to make an ecological product that helps to preserveproducts suitable for use for a longer period of time.

Acquaintance with the history of photography, the most famous photographers of Pasvalys region and their works, and design of the photo that you have brought.
